Dom’s Coffee 

My sleepy little New England town got quite a treat when Dom’s Coffee moved into Avon, CT. The clean, simple and modern European-style coffee shop gives you the feeling that you’ve been transported over the Atlantic from the second you walk through the door. White walls, fresh flowers and wall-to-wall windows provide patrons with an airiness that immediately makes you feel refreshed–before you’ve even taken a sip of their outstanding coffee. I am a firm believer that coffee simply tastes better served in mugs and Dom’s embraces this idea. Their baristas make you feel like a guest in their home, inviting you to take a seat and delivering your perfectly made coffee to you. Recently named the most beautiful coffee shop in CT by Architectural Digest, Dom’s is a real treat for all of your senses.

What to get: A cappuccino (splurge on whole milk for the full experience) made from local J. Rene Coffee Roaster’s beans and & a traditional European tree cake.

Added bonus: Dom’s recently added a specialty cheese shop to its store. Featuring a variety of unique cheeses from local farms and countries all over Europe, their charcuterie plates are both authentic and outstanding!
